Sorry for the radio silence, I've been busy getting back into the swing of working and day-to-day life. 😅
. Since getting out of hospital a month and a half ago, I have started feeling better than I have done in a long long time! I have little to no pain and my continence is literally better than its ever been, (since getting sick)! 😊
. Right now, I'm loving life! I am so happy feeling more comfortable than I have done in a while. Now, the main thing to work on is losing the rest of that post-steroid weight, and getting my body just gentally fit! 💪 . Also, as of next week, it's been 6 months since my first surgery. Looking back to before that surgery, I almost wish that I'd chosen this path earlier. But then again, this has almost been the best year to use as a "pause" year. I've put a lot of my life on hold this year; travel, uni, work, but as much as I wish I'd had the surgery sooner, I was in the best possible headspace I could have been this year.Â
. I've also been reflecting on my health and my outlook this time post-surgery, as opposed to this time 6 months ago. I went into my first surgery thinking that I'd be living life with a bag and loving life, but the physical and mental toll that the bag, and the pain, took on me, meant that that couldn't happen. But in retrospect, it turns out that reversal surgery was for the best! . If you had told 14 year old me that this surgery would happen and that I'd be happy, I don't think I would have believed you! 😂
. Yes it was scary. Yes it was hard! Yes there was pain and I almost regretted it all a few times. But hell, after this wild ride, things are better than ever! Â
