Day 3 — This morning I got given permission from the doctors to go onto full fluids. This meant that breakfast consisted of custard and instant porridge! 😋 Had a few bites and then my body decided that no.. These weren't for me and threw up.😥 Managed to get a few mouthfuls down but couldn't really finish much.. Was keen to try again at lunch though! . It was around this point that I noticed blood on my top sheets and further investigation found blood on my nightie and my bed... my drain had leaked all over the bed and all over me. Turns out that it's not been draining into the bag but just out the side wherever it wants to go. Mum helped me clean that up then had another sponge bath. . Once getting back into bed, I started having a massive pain flare.. Almost 9/10 pain! This lasted for about half an hour/45 minutes. Right as it started, the physio therapy assistant asked if I was keen for a walk to which i promptly said no, I would go later. . Once it had started to settle, the physio therapist herself came and I managed to go for a walk with her. Got much further than I did yesterday so that's a great outcome! . All day I've been super dizzy with blurred and double vision. So I'm having to type with one eye closed which affects my spacial awareness so I'm making lost of mistakes... Sometime even auto-correct can't figure out what this numpty is trying to say..

But it was also affecting my walking and my awakedness. So my eyes have been incredibly heavy all day. . Pumpkin soup and custard arrived for lunch and this time, it's stayed down! It felt so good to actually "eat" something other than juice and water lol... The hot soup was a super relief! . Went for a 2nd walk shortly after lunch with the physio assistant which ended in a lot of abdominal pain and my cannula tissuing so it had to be taken out. It then took 4 different people 5 goes to try and get a new one in 😓 . On a plus side, I need to give a shout out to my gorgeous friends who have shown so much love and support through all this. My second visit of the day brought me a hot chocolate to celebrate me being on full fluids. I then had a visit from 2 for lovely ladies who had bought me an adorable teddy bear who I have lovingly dubbed Reginald.

Another adorable human bought me a body shop pack which I'm so keen to use in my first shower tomorrow!

And a third amazing friend sat and did my hair for me which made me feel so pretty.

. The man in the bed next to me keeps talking to himself and arguing with the nurses. When they came to give him his blood thinner injection, he said he didn't want it and that he would refuse to have it because it's bull shit and he's on physiotherapy and that he's not a stupid old man who's going to die of a heart attack... He also swears profusely in his sleep.

. So... This is where I pop my head phones on and listen to the sound of rain to try and get some sleep 😴
